What are we going to learn?
In this unit, we are going to look at the book "My Place", written by Nadia Wheatley. We are also going to look at film clips from the "My Place" television series that was made about the book. Each week, we will be focusing on a different time period. We'll discuss the changes that have happened over time. Sometimes, we'll be discussing changes to characters, sometimes we'll be discussing changes to the environment and sometimes we'll be discussing changes that have happened throughout history. Each week, you'll be asked to complete some activities based around the decades we've been looking at. At the end of the unit, we'll be discussing the changes that have happened over a 100 year period of time and making some predictions about what might happen in the future of our local area.
